About Bayswater Driving School
Gene Hilton, the man behind Bayswater Driving School, wanted a challenging and rewarding career and has now been a driving instructor for over 20 years.
He finds it deeply rewarding to see his students pass their driver’s licence test as he understands what a big deal it is and the amount of hard work that goes into mastering proficient driving skills.
He is committed to teaching with integrity and wants to see his students drive properly and safely, so he delivers more than just basic driving instruction.
Our Beliefs About Driving
Bayswater Driving School believes in teaching you to drive on three levels:
- Providing Instruction
- Teaching the mechanics and theory of driving
- Explaining and covering Victorian Road Law
By providing our driving program in this way you not only learn how to pass your driving test, you also learn the skills to become a safer and more confident solo driver.
Mature Learner Drivers
It can feel daunting to get your driver’s licence as you get older, however Bayswater Driving School supports and encourages older learner drivers, as well as nervous drivers, to learn how to drive and to obtain the skills necessary to be a confident and competent driver.
Teenage Driving
One of the most exciting and liberating moments as a teenager is getting your driver’s licence and not having to rely on your parents to drive you around anymore. However, from a parent’s point of view they need to know that you haven’t just been taught to pass a driving test, but that you will be a confident and safe solo driver.
Bayswater Driving School believes in teaching with integrity, ensuring teenager drivers are proficient, sensible drivers with a wealth of practical skills.

We come to you
We can come to you for your driving lesson, picking up from school, the train station or your home or workplace.
All instructors hold a Cert IV in Driver Training, Working With Children’s Check and have had a Police Check.
